Just curious as to what you guys prefer for a teacher.

I have a teacher who just graduated last year and he isnt quite as organized as my other professors have been. It would be a little nerve racking i guess for them. But i would rather have a professor who has been teaching a little longer then a few months :)

I said other cause I Have never had a professor to choose from

i don't care how long my professor has been teaching, i just want someone who teaches well, is respectful, and cares about education....

either. Any teacher that has been teaching for a year or 30 years can be good, and either can also suck. so I think it depends.

As long as they can get the information across, it doesn't bother me.

It just depends...since I'm majoring in Elementary Education...i want my profs to have taught in the elementary setting before. That is really helpful to us as far as becoming teachers.

I think that it can go either way. I've had great teachers from both experience brackets. :yes It depends on the person.

sometimes my professors are just TOO old! i like my professors that have been teaching for about 5-7 years the most though.

Doesn't matter to me as long as they're interesting and care about the material they are teaching.. not just lecturing from a powerpoint.. yuck

I put that I didn't care. I have learned a lot from experienced professors as well as young ones. And I've also ones that royally sucked in each category!
