People always say that marriage has turned into a joke for a lot of people and no one is capable of being faithful anymore. I started thinking though... I know that there are more opportunities for cheating now, with the internet and clubs and such. But I sometimes wonder if the cheating was just as common 100 years ago but society was so much different back then, so the chances of a woman finding out were slim (since men did their own thing and there was little to no communication) unless she actually walked in on him cheating. And also, women leaving a man for cheating was pretty much unheard of. I think it was one of those things that a lot of women just had to accept.
So, do you think marriage is any more of a joke these days than it has been from the beginning of time? Have things really gotten worse or does it just seem that way since women are more empowered now and technology is also better?
