What kind of activities do your kids partake in?

Dennis and Dominick used to both do Cub Scouts. Dominick is wanting to start that back up, so I need to get that going. Dennis plays basketball and I'm going to sign Dominick up do that as well during the Winter league. We are also in the process of getting Dennis started in Navy League Cadets, something he really wants to do.

Devon is in football, basketball, and swimming.

Jackson is now doing fall swimming.

We haven't got Ernie in anything yet.

Hey Mary, Jackson wants to sign up for cub scouts tonight and I know nothing about it. Do your boys like it?? And what are the fees???

The boys really enjoyed it. I cannot remember what the fees are. In Illinois we only paid $10 cause that den did so well at popcorn they covered half or more of the fee. In Nevada, I think it was around $35 and that's for a year, or maybe a year and a half. Cub Scouts is great in my opinion. I was an Assistant Den Leader while we were still in Nevada, and it was fun helping the boys in the den. It also gave me a reason to keep an eye on Dominick.:teehee How old is he? I know the first Cub Scout is Tiger, and they usually have the parents attend those meetings with them (1st grade). Then there is Wolf, Bear, then Webelo I & II. After that they go on to Boy Scouts. Dominick will be a Bear this year, and Dennis would be a Boy Scout if he wanted to do it.

No, he won't. He will start at Wolf. That is actually when my oldest first signed up. But before he becomes a Wolf, or actually starts working on his Wolf stuff, he will work on his Bobcat badge since he's new. Basically it's just general Cub Scout stuff, like learning the Law of the Pack, the Cub Scout Promise, stuff like that. Really easy. I hope he really likes it. Like I said, I'm going to see about getting Dominick back into it. I was just kinda waiting on his ADHD to get stablelized before putting him back in, but he's acting a lot better, so I think it's time. He will be starting Wolf, as well.

This year is a little different. This is the first year Kevin won't be taking swimming lessons because they don't teach his level at the indoor pool.

He also was in Cub Scouts until this year, and doesn't want to do flag football.

So mainly his sports are in the late winter/spring when he does wrestling, and then baseball. Those take up about 2 nights of practice and a saturday.
He also has Sunday school.

Right now I have 2 in football, 1 playing volleyball, and 1 in cross country..... 4 of them belong to a rifle shooting team, 1 in boy scouts, dance, and youth group with the church.

Soon it will be basketball, baseball, track, horse riding/packing and swimming.

Matt plays football and wrestles. He also has a parttime job at Pizza Hut (he hates it there, and is currently looking for new employment)
Morissa plays soccer, volleyball, basketball and softball. She also takes violin lessons and is in the church choir.

absolutely nothin'. EVERYTHING costs money here, everything. Which is probably why our juvenile crime rate is through the roof. There are a few towns or municipalities that have set up activities for the kids whose parents can't afford to put them in anything (like us). But I don't live in one of those areas, unfortunately.

There are about 5-7 boys my sons play with on our street, and 2 girls. That's what they do for fun. They build skateboard ramps together, make up tricks on their Ripsticks, climb trees, get into fights, build forts, play manhunt, etc. They are like 80s kids in the 00s :lol
