Alright this is going to be my fulfillment post. I'm making a list of photos that have been requested to compile in one place here. I'll edit and add to it from the other thread where requests are made. I just need to be able to see it in one place.

PLEASE DO NOT MAKE REQUESTS IN THIS THREAD.

Currently Unfulfilled:

your dinner for tonight
something weirdly unique in your city
a random person OR some hoochies or bleeding men
produce dept at your grocery store

NOW FOR THE PHOTOS BELOW:

"Where I work"

The door to the lab:

The other desk, where I run a machine and usually where I'm sitting if I'm on TWH during the workday:

"What's Under My Bed"

Clothing storage!
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/underbed.jpg

"What's In My Closet"

Keep in mind that this is an old house, New England, turn-of-the-century closets: Tiny.

"What's In My Fridge"

http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/fridge.jpg

"What's In My Trash"

Chinese takeout container, junk mail, starbucks bag, tissue... really exciting!
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/trash.jpg

"My Living Room"

This changed last week when my new roommate moved in. This is the wall-sized bookcase that I HATE. It used to be so simple and uncrowded in there. It was sooooooo much nicer. Now it just looks cluttered, unbalanced.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/livingroom1.jpg
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/livingroom2.jpg
More pointless furniture that doesn't belong in the living room that's just cluttering it now. :rant

"My Favorite Flower"

Roses! Photographed outside of the local flower shop.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/roses.jpg

"View from my office window"

My view used to be better, but they started construction across the street. Now I can check out the construction works. :woot
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/windowview1.jpg
This is the famous Big Dig bridge (Zakim Bridge) that they built a few years back. It's a cable-stay bridge, that lights up all purple/blue at night. Here is a website that shows it in full: Boston.com / Photo gallery (http://www.boston.com/news/traffic/bigdig/special/galleries/bridge/intro.htm) And the traffic jams on the highway! And a tiny bit of Boston harbor.

"My Favorite Book"

I don't have a particular favorite, but this is one of them.

"View of Street/Neighborhood from the Street"

From my porch to the right.

Walking up the sidewalk on the other side of the street from my house.

"The Subway Station" a series including train, train station, tunnel, stairs

Start:
Arriving train, looking down towards the platform from above.

Heading down the stairs to the platform as the train takes off.

The Tunnel!

Watching the next train approach from the platform
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/approachingtrain.jpg

End:
The newly constructed above-ground T-station. All glass, beautiful! At night...

Heading through the gates...

BONUS: The artwork during the day on the glass wall...

http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/tstationart5.jpg

"Short Walking Tour on Beacon Hill"

Just before reaching Charles St is a little shop/grocery called "Top Shelf". It used to be all organic, but I think new ownership changed that - its more flowers and produce than product now.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/topshelf2.jpg
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/topshelf.jpg
Heading around the corner to Charles Street you can see the T-station behind you.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/tstationcharles.jpg

The thing you should know about Beacon Hill is that all of the buildings are historical brownstones. There are ordanances in the community preventing people from update or tearing down the buildings. So if repairs need to be done, or a chain store moves in, it has to abide by tight regulations conforming to historical accuracy. As a result, the area is gorgeous and quaint. The road width are Charles St is rather big, but the rest of the streets are very narrow and everyting is tree-lined - kind of odd for such a tight space.

So for the past six months, I swear, they've been doing construction on the street. I mean, Boston is constantly under construction with traffic being rerouted and delayed. It's messy to begin with because this was an "unplanned" city, so there is no grid system or well planned out streets. Everything is winding, one-way and narrow. Then you add construction and entire blocks being cut off... :giggle Fun times. It's how we try to prevent the tourists from coming back.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/construction.jpg

One of the first shops is Savenor's - famed for its high quality meats, cheeses and other gourmet deli products.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/savenors.jpg

The Beacon Hill Pub is across the street from Savenor's. There are no windows, when you walk past you can just smell the stale beer. It's cheap, there's a dart board, but you have to bring your own darts.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/beaconhillpub.jpg

Next to the pub, is King and I, a Thai restaurant that we go to for lunch sometimes.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/kingandi.jpg

Looking down the street, past King and I, there are lots of random boutiques and antique shops.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/charlesst1.jpg
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/redsoxflag.jpg

Across the street a little further down in Panificio, a charming bakery/lunch place that makes all of its down sandwiches, sounds and salads from scratch, served to your table. It's nice to go there sometimes for a bite to eat, but around lunch seating is hard to get.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/panficio.jpg

Just past Panificio is my favorite place, which will combo with Kalei's "mailbox" request. The post office. I love the ladies that work there. One of them does troop support also, so I can chat with her about care packages. She makes these neck coolers that she sends over for them. Pretty cool.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/postoffice2.jpg
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/postoffice1.jpg

Heading towards the end of the block, the road takes a slight turn, but continues along much the same way this little boutiques, old-style - tiny apartments on the floors above them.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/charlesst2.jpg

Turning left up a side street, you can see the narrow one-way streets. It's all one way, trust me. And they all go uphill!
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/sidestreet.jpg

All of these apartments are very tiny, but very expensive. Like shoe boxes with no closets. I'm dead serious. It's such a cute neighborhood and really convenient though, so its easy to pay the price. John Kerry has a brownstone out here, and Tom Brady is current attempting to sell the two lower apartments in his 4 story brownstone, for around $4million each. But hey, you get Tom Brady as your neighbor, right?
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/ncedarst.jpg

All of the sidewalks have trees planted along them with fences around the trunks, so you'll end up with a 1-1/5 foot walkway to slip past if you're staying along the sideway.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/sidestreet2.jpg

Little flower boxes are planted in the middle of the sidewalks too.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/sidewalk.jpg
All of the streets are lined with gaslamps also...
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/streetlamp2.jpg
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/streetlamp1.jpg

And most of the windows have flower boxes as well. It's gorgeous to walk through here..it really sends you back in time (minus the parked cars).
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/windowbox.jpg

Leaving Charles St and heading back to Cambridge, I'll show you three last places.
Harvard Gardens is where everyone goes for drinks after work. The waitstaff consists of a bunch of assholes, thus....
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/harvardgardens.jpg
We go to the The Hill instead! Where the services is merely slow and incompetent, but generally not out and out rude. Food not as good though.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/hilltavern.jpg

And next to The Hill is my favorite work Starbucks! Yumm...
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/starbucks.jpg

"My Computer"

http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/laptop.jpg

"A pigeon for Ashley"

I tell you have have millions and I could only find one last night on my way to the gym. I'll find more today or this weekend. But this will have to do temporarily. I'll find one with a missing foot or something - a lot of them are kinda beaten up, but they're endearing.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/pigeon.jpg

More pigeons!
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/pigeon3.jpg
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/pigeon2.jpg

"My Favorite Shoes"

http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/shoes.jpg

"Tall Tree"

It wasn't abnormally tall, but the bark was weird, so I liked it.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/talltree.jpg

"View from my Bed"

And the other

"Favorite drink"

This isn't my fave, fave, but I like it a lot.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/drink.jpg

"Contents of My Bag"

Workout clothes, folder of cards, phone, Zune, pens, deoderant, advil, book, headband, tampon (jic), Zune charger, and soda caps I keep meaning to send the codes to Jen for

“Duck Boats” for Ash

I didn’t come across any of the cool painted ones with themes. Just these basic solid color guys. On land and on the river…
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/duckboat1.jpg
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/duckboat2.jpg
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/duckboat3.jpg
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/duckboatcancal.jpg

“Bostonscapes…”

Starting in Cambridge at the Galleria, a canal leads into the Charles River…
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/canal1.jpg
The bridge up close…
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/bridgevine.jpg
..even more fun with the vine..
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/vine.jpg
On the other side of the bridge are a couple of ramshackle dock/rafts
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/docks.jpg

On the other side of the Science Museum, Duck Tour depot and other various buildings is another canal also leading into the River (this is where the Duckboat picture was taken from above..
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/canal2.jpg
The canal from the other side looking to the bridge where I took the previous photo
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/canal3.jpg
I pass the MA State Police…
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/statepolice.jpg
Then head down onto the Esplanade, a grassy park area that lines the entire south side of the Charles River, with bike and walking paths, parks, baseball courts, and the gamed Hatchshell, where the yearly July 4th celebration takes place. I didn’t go down that far, but here is the western most end near the baseball fields..
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/esplanade.jpg
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/esplanade2.jpg http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/esplanade3.jpg
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/bostonview9.jpg

From here some beautiful views of Boston can be seen..

“Longfellow Bridge”

This bridge connects Cambridge and Boston, both pedestrian and automobile lanes, the the Red Line train also crosses down the center of the bridge. Itcarries 50,000 cars and 100,000 train passengers every day. It’s known as the “Salt and Pepper Bridge” due to the granite towers looking like shakers.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/longfellow6.jpg
Look closely..the slightly higher line to the right of the tower is the subway crossing the river into Cambridge!
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/longfellow3.jpg
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/longfellow1.jpg

“The Charles River and The Prudential Center” for Ash

For those unfamiliar, the Pru is the tallest building in these photos. The sailboats are from the sailing rental docks in the lower left hand corner. Sailing on the Charles is a big past time here, same with kayaking the Charles.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/bostonview4.jpg
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/bostonview7.jpg
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/bostonview8.jpg
Behind the sailboats along the shore you can see the famous CITGO sign! It signals Kenmore Square and Fenway Park.
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/bostonview11.jpg

Heading back to the T station, I take the walkway over Storrow Drive..
http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j17/honeysuhkle/Picture%20Girl/boston/walkway2.jpg
And the famed Storrow Drive!

Oh no, I bet a thrift store would've loved to have the books. I've donated so much stuff to the thrift store lately. Try freecycle or craigslist too!

great pics. I like the wall hanging. I love the neighborhood and the city. I wish I had a job in the city. I love all the hustle bustle of it.

Philly is like that! That's why I was kind of excited about moving there. Old City/Center City is a lot like Boston. I felt really at home when I was there. You just need to move a little farther south!
