How come it seems like the father can care for the child so much and want to be a part of his kids life but the ex wife has to act all strange and weird about it.

My husband pays child support and he tries to see his kids. When he goes over there she is not home or won't answer the door. We write a letter to her and she thinks it is a threat and all she does is call her mommy and brother to come protect her. Is this not bull crap at all. She is so strange. It's been over 2 years since he has last seen or heard from his children. He gets very depressed and upset towards it. yes he is paying child support but not seeing the kids. He is afraid to go put her in contempt of court he thinks he will lose and nothing will happen to her for not letting him see his own kids. It's not that he doesn't want to see them he knows that she still wont let him. ANd we can't afford a lawyer to help us out. Anyone have any suggestions or advice? This would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

He needs to go to the court. Unless they have a REALLY REALLY good reason, they will not deny him visitation. I don't even think you need a lawyer, just go file a petition for visitation.

I know he won't be denyed but Indiana is messed up. They don't force the mother to do the visitations. See he has to go by the Indiana state guide lines which is wednesdays and every other weekend. She can't even do that. She is never home. I mean will the judge inforce it that she has to let them go and if she doesn't she will be in complient with the courts and could get introuble? I mean this girl is into everything, drugs, goes out partying on the weekends leaving kids with their grandmother. They are hardly ever with their mom. We have seem them before. It's so hard on my husband. It's driving him crazy.

If he has documented visitation rights, all he has to do is take the papers to the local police department/county sheriff and they will help enforce them! She should not be restricting visitation if the papers state he is to have visitation.

He's tried that before get the police involved and they told him there is nothing they can do about it to go get a lawyer even though it's on paper.

I think you should start documenting her behavior and then refile. That is what I would do. It's sad that some women can't be decent to their child's father. It really makes me sick to be honest.

What about filing an injunction against her for not allowing the visitation?

We just did that this afternoon we have to wait on the judge to approve it and then they are back to court over this issue. I can't wait.

Good Luck. It's not right that she isn't going by the legal papers.

They will not deny any father visitation. Hell felons have that right. It's better to fight then not do anything at all. I think a lot of it has to due with jealosy. My parents were divorced when I was 3, so I know what it was like to go through.
