For Jaxon, we have used spankings, time outs, loss of things (TV time, games, toys, etc). Spankings do NOT work AT ALL. So, our best luck has been with time outs.

Shelby is only 18 months and has not had any types of punishment yet except a very light pop on the hand (she started this thing where she digs her nails into your face and laughs as you said ouch :no ). But we really do not and have not punished her for anything as of yet. She's a pretty good baby though, so I don't really see us having to use much punishment with her. If we do, it will be time outs or loss of privileges.

And of course baby Hunter is way too little to do any wrong :cloud9 :giggle

We put Ethan in his crib for timeouts. When he's quieted down, then we'll go in there and get him. He seems to get the hang of the word "timeout" REALLY well!!!!!

So far time outs do the trick - but she's only two :giggle She hasn't had a time out in weeks actually, all I have to do is ask if she needs one and she says no, then does whatever I've asked of her :lol

He's a pretty good kid, he gets a light pop on the hand when he touches something he shouldn't, and when he has a tantrum (which is once in a blue moon) I just ignore him and then after he's finished, explain that it's not right to do that because he can choose not to throw one, and if he does it again, he'll have to sit on the chair :giggle I swear I (L) watching SuperNanny! It's honestly really helped with his tantrums, they were really really bad!!

Austin goes in his pack n play to calm down when he throws tantrums. I tried time out a couple months ago and it didn't take...I'm going to start trying again now that he is a bit older.

Quinn never needs anything more than to be spokent to (he's 8). We're lucky b/c he rarely misbehaves. Jacob, who is almost 2, well, he's another story lol! Right now I put him in his crib for timeouts. I tried the corner but he just walks right out. He's going to be my challenge, I can tell already.
