View Full Version : Betty Crocker Complete Meals
Brandi 01-21-2007, 08:54 PM I am really not into packaged meals stuff that often but these are pretty good! I've tried the chicken alfredo and the stroganoff and both are pretty yummy! They come with everything you need, including the meat, which makes it VERY easy for me if I need a really quick meal (we usually eat them for lunch if I need something quick for the kiddos and it's better than fast food). I'd recommend them for something really quick and easy!
Stephie 01-21-2007, 09:19 PM How much are they cost wise?? I'm trying to cut down our grocery bill so things that are easy and cost less are great!!!

At the commy, they are only $2.99! Thats one of the main reasons why I LOVE them. Since it's a whole meal, the kids and I can all eat lunch that is quick, easy and only $2.99. So, it's not bad costwise either. There isn't a ton of meat in them but my kids have gotten to where they hate meat anyways :suspect so I just eat most of the meat and they eat a little bit of meat with the noodles. Its super easy to throw in some frozen veggies also. In the alfredo, I love to add frozen peas into it. For the stroganoff, you could add extra mushrooms if you like those or extra onions or anything!
Megan 01-21-2007, 09:23 PM Sounds yummy, I love things I can just throw intot he oven or microwave and cook real quick for lunch or dinner.

I know, they are for us also. I REALLY need to cut back on the spending. I get all kinds of junk that we don't need and we end up throwing stuff out a lot too. Like meat that I'll get out and not use or veggies when I buy too many, then they go bad. I need to get better with our groceries, for sure. :no

Yup that's what I've got to work on as well! Though we are getting better with using veggies and eating them and using the meat. I buy the family packs of meat and then freeze it in the servings we need and it helps. We have individually frozen pork chops for that reason! LOL!! I can make one up for myself on duty nights and it's easy to not have to thaw too many out. Same goes with chicken breast and ground meat. It's much easier that way. That and we've started making extra servings of things like spaghetti and stuff to have for lunch the next day and it's really helped! Milk will always be a problem here though since it's almost 5 bucks a gallon and Dh drinks it like it's water. So that we're just going to have to suck up. The rest we do well on!! :D
Victoria 01-22-2007, 05:35 AM If the chicken 'n dumplings was one of those meals, I thought it was disgusting, and Bryan thought it was "ok." I won't buy that flavor again, but I'll definitely have to try the other yummy flavors mentioned. :)

Ya, I haven't tried any of the chicken and dumplings or chicken and biscuits ones. Those sort of scare me a little bit :teehee The others were pretty good though.
Jennifer 01-22-2007, 03:59 PM I love those things!
'Reen 02-02-2007, 09:25 AM i love them too. i was surprised as how easy they are, especially with not having the best kitchen facilities...:mumble i like them because i only ever cook for me, and i can save what i dont' eat in the gladware containers, and take it to work with me, (espeically when i'm working up at the hospital).
