How many of you feel that you'll need to get additional degrees in order to advance in your current field? That you're currently at a ceiling that only further educational will help you break through?

If so, what is it that you're expected to get in order to advance and is this something you're going to go ahead and do?

well, I'm still in school, but if I ever wanted to get a speech therapy I'd be required to get a master's and if i wanted to go into audiology I'd be required to get a doctorate...

I'm also still in school but I don't think it's necessary for me to get a Master's but I sure hope it isn't because I don't want to go back to school after I graduate (at least for a few years). I'd probably get paid better though.....

I can't advance in the position I am right now. Because I work at a very small school where thre is only about 10 people in the administration office, I'm pretty much it for my position, no where else to go. BUT I do want to advance in the Human Resources career in general, so in order to do that I will have to advance my education. Which is exactly what I'm doing, I'm working on my Masters Degree in Human Resource Management. My ultimate goal is to get a higher paying job.
