ive been thinking alot lately about somethings me and wood can do to help are relationship. i think that a phone call everynight just isnt enough, idk maybe im being selfish. i think writing letters to each other and sending them to each other every week would help alot. sometimes somethings are better if you write them down. i know writting stuff down helps me think about things. plus, Valentines day is in about 20 days and i plan on either making or finding a really good and romantic card for wood (L) and i hope he does the same thing for me :lovestruck

i think writing letters is a GREAT idea.

I think sending each other a piece of snail mail a week would be a great idea. Then you have somethign to look forward to in the mail and you guys can really express how you feel, take the time to think about it etc.

I was in one for almost two years!! He was very hesitant about it, but I did my part to make him get over it...Not only would we be on the phone for like 8 hours a day (no joke!!) but I sent him normal mail ALL THE TIME!! he has stacks and stacks of cards!

Also I went to visit him every other month until he got stationed in RI then he would come and visit me when I lived at home!

DH and I were in one and then him being deployed was another thing...writing letters is a great idea! We used to send each other cards and all. I think making cards means a lot...at least to DH it did! Every so often, I used to send him TastyKakes and stuff (which he never had before cause he's from Canada) and try to send him things that would remind him of 'home'.

I got mine to write me a few times when he was in the desert. Once in a while he'll send me something -- I got a postcard a couple of weeks ago! But it frustrates me when I send him stuff because he only checks his mailbox like once per week. So I have to wait and wait and wait, then worry he didn't get it, then harrass him to check his mail. It takes the surprise out of it.

We talk on the phone every night and sometimes during the day too, he'll call me from work. :wub I like webcam, of course. And Yahoo has the voice feature as well, which is cool because it saves us daytime minutes if we want to talk before 9pm.

yeah i talked to wood about sending letters and how i didnt think a phonecall was enough. then i asked if he ever thought about it, and he said no :neutral
so idk what we can do :dunno hopefully he will think about what i said.

i really wish i had a webcam!! wood doesnt have the internet thought, so hopefully after he goes to his next duty station, he will get one :mrgreen
