I don't know how many of you caught Oprah the day she did this show. It was like a week to ten days ago. It was about a book called The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. And Oprah had a variety of guests on who believe in the secret this book speaks of sharing their experiences and takes on it, though it's not a new concept at all. In fact if you're one of those people who believes that they can cure themselves of things simply by thinking positively - you will have no trouble at all believing in this.

The point of the book is to get you to understand that you can have absolutely anything or anyone or any situation you want as long as you believe it to be fact and you never ever allow doubt to enter your mind about it. There's more to it, but that's the gist of it.

I really and truly loved this book- read it all in one night, because I can already see it working for me. I've seen it work for me on smaller scales my entire life. But once I committed to stopping myself from being all of these things I hate - I was rewarded in the ways I wanted to be. I can't wait to be more bold with my wants. And I know that sounds selfish, but the "cost" to you is that you be happy and positive and put that energy out there into the universe. That's a good thing to put into the world - a happy person setting off good vibes. So you are, in a sense, giving back to everyone in that way.

It's difficult to explain, but definitely go get the book. Paperback's like $9 or something. Borrow if from a friend. They're sure to have finished it in one day/night or thrown it against a wall. I think it's one of those things a lot of people don't feel ok believing. But it's worth finding out where you stand on it. My mom was always into this sort of stuff when I was little so it's not a stretch for me to believe it.

My Psych Professor swears by the Secret. It really is a wonderful concept and I can completely see how it would work. I've seen it work on a small scale as well but I've never really tried it.

On that episode of Oprah a woman named Louise Hay was a guest. She has a book called You Can Heal Your Life which came out over 20 years ago. That is the book my mom was really really into when I was little. She would play the audio version every single night when I would go to sleep. And it did stick in my head. It kind of goes hand-in-hand with The Secret. Your positive thoughts and energy are all it takes.

It's weird that I would catch that one particular episode of Oprah because I don't really watch much TV, much less TV around 4pm when she's on. But I have been putting out into the Universe that I'm ready for change and I happened to be there for that show.

Hypermama - do you feel that you believe in it so much that you just have this huge list of things to focus on? That's where I'm at right now. Like I'm so convinced of this after some of the experiences I've had, that I can do it all - and I will. But I'm going by my feelings on which are most prominent and doing those first.

I love feeling this happy all the time. Love it.
