We thought we were going to be paying for our entire wedding ourselves, turns out between our parents, the entire reception is all paid for!

We have a site reserved already, and it only cost 150$- including our own bartender, all of the tables and chairs, and staff. We thought that was a pretty damn good deal. Travis's parents want to pay for all of the beer and wine, and then our tab (our being mine and travis) and then it will be cash bar for everyone else. His parents also want to pay for the rehersal dinner, which is going to be a barbeque at my house, which is right up the street from the church we're having the wedding at. The huge thing, they're also paying for our honeymoon, we're looking at going to St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, or Cozumel in Mexico.

My dad said that he wants to pay for the whole meal at the reception, and he already paid for our church fee, because we wanted to reserve it early since it's labor day weekend.

We're heading to Denver for the weekend, and I have appointments at a couple bridal shops to start looking for a wedding dress, and Davids Bridal is having a 99$ gown sale starting saturday.

We're doing all of this really early, but we want to have everything kind of in order, especially if he ends up accepting the border patrol job, and will be gone for 5 months, and then we'll be living like 2000 miles away from where we're having our wedding :scared

That's great news! It's ALWAYS nice to have people help you pay for the wedding! Are you getting married next year??

I hope you have fun getting everything ready!

That is great news :happy I'm still keeping my fingers crossed he'll get the job. But no matter how far the wedding is from where you may be living, it'll be amazing :yes

I think he's for sure going to take it. He was already "hired" since the job offer was good for a year, so it's just a waiting game for the academy, and then where he'll be stationed.

I decided that I am going to live in MI with both of our families while he is in the academy, so I'll be able to do all of our wedding stuff then which will be awesome!
