How many did you have? (or if you're getting married soon...how many are you GOING to have?)

Just curious...

I only had 2 because I couldn't decide who I should give that honor to. I had way too many friends and I was a bridesmaid in most of their weddings, I didn't want more than 4 so I just decided none of my friends would be one cause I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings by not choosing them. I had my cousin and my new sister in law be my bridesmaids, that way there were no hurt feelings!

I accidentally did a :duh and put 2 :giggle, but I had 4. They were all my cousins, and one good girlfriend, who was in at the last minute cause my one cousin had problems and couldn't participate. I just didn't want to get into having friends because it would be more problem than not. So I had them hand out programs and such like that during the ceremony, which was cool with them!

Four, my four best friends :oD! Joe's going to have a groomswoman, but she'll probably end up being a part of the BM activities.

I'm not married and I'm not getting married anytime soon. I have been in 3 weddings though.
My cousin had 3 (my mom, my sister, and myself)
My friend had 4 (me, her sister, and 2 friends)
and my sister had 3 (me, my cousin, and her new sister in law)

I'd probably have to have my sister, my best friend, my other friend, and my cousin in mine at least so I'll just guess that I'll have 4 when I eventually do get married.

I had 6, technically. I had 5 bridesmaids and my stepdaughter was a junior bridesmaid.

I was just curious. Not that I'm engaged yet, but db and I have talked about marriage/weddings a lot. I have 4 people that I would want for mine....and db would like for his sister to be one too...so I didn't know if 5 was a lot or not? But if I have his sister, I'm gonna request that he has my brother as a groomsman. :P

I didn't think that 5 would be TOO many..but I kinda also hoped to have a jr. bridesmaid or 2. LOL But I guess I don't need to have 7 people walking down the aisle before I do.

If I got married tomorrow I would have 6.
My "maid" of honor would be my best friend that is a dude :lol
My other best friend from 5th grade
My roommate
My other closest girlfriend
My high school teacher that is not much older that I am REALLY close to
my little sister would kind of be one

I'm only having two. It WAS three, but my third couldn't commit to the date because her husband "isn't sure he wants to go" :sigh

Just like that movie that is coming out soon! :P I might have to do that with my brother. Because DF is being a jerk about not wanting my brother as a groomsman. DF thinks that it should only be people he knows really well and is good friends with.

The difference is, mine isn't in love with me :P waht with him being gay and all :lol

not going to lie, I agree with your DF... i have NEVER understood why brides/grooms would let to choose people in the other's group

So, is he a drag queen? Would he wear a dress like the rest of the brides maids? Or would he wear a tux. (I don't mean any offense by that--i have a gay friend from school who would LOVE to be in a wedding and wear a bridesmaid dress) :)

In my case..with a brother..I don't think he'd be in love with me either. ;) But idk how comfortable anyone (including me) would feel with having a male bridesmaid. I tried to reason with DF explaining that weddings are about coming together of families. He has a sister, and I have a brother that I want in the wedding. I thought that would have been a simple solution...I would have his sister as a bridesmaid and he'd have my brother as a groomsman.

No, he is not a drag queen. It is the guy in my signature. He would probably wear slacks with a shirt that is the same color as the girls, I don't think I'd ever have a dressy wedding.

I just think that your brother could be an usher or something if your DF does not want him as a groomsman. I just think that should be his decision :dunno

Well, he would be happy that someone agrees. :P ;) Since we were talking about it anyway...I went ahead and started a new thread with a "debate" about it.

I had 3 including my maid of honor. I was going to have 3 bridesmaid and my MOH but Josh's friend from highschool flaked on him (was suppose to be the best man so we had to bump his brother up to best man which I prefered anyways) So, one of my bridesmaids (my cousin/sister I talk about alot Cherish) stepped down because she said she would rather run the sound system and watch the wedding since she has been in like 3 weddings that year! :lol

I'm getting married in July and I will have just my Maid of Honor, and my husband only his Best Man. I didn't want to have an uneven # of MOH and GM so it came down to just the ones... The great thing is that it's YOUR wedding so you can do pretty much whatever you and ur husband decide!
