I'm the stage manager for a local community theater group. He is the orchestra director. No one knows we're more than just friends. I feel like we should not tell anyone about us (I'm not even really sure why). He always hugs me (and not in the friend way) in public so I get the feeling that people will find out...soon (especially since we arrive and leave at the same time since I'm his ride....:teehee ).

So....should we be open or closed about our relationship?

If someone asked I wouldn't lie, but I would try to keep it to a minimum while at work.

I agree. If they ask, don't lie. But don't shout it from the roof tops just yet.

I assume that this isn't like a paid job or anything and he isn't your boss, so I don't see the big deal. It doesn't sound as if your relationship would have an impact or be seen as an unfair advantage at the theatre group. So basically, I wouldn't worry about it. I'd be open about it. Just no making out and canoodling at work, which is a normal expectation anyway.

Shannon - You're right. I guess during the performances I'm the director. I own his ass. :lol

I'll talk to him about this next time I see him.
