I have a couple questions about perms. I've had a perm before but that was about 6 years ago.

1. Will it not work as well with long hair (mine is about 2in. above my navel)?
2. Is there a way to make the curls bigger and not as tight? More wavy but still curly.

Since your hair is so long you might need more than one perm kit if you are doing it yourself, professionaly they can do it but it will be very expensive. As for types of curls, if you get a body perm it adds more wave than curl. It depends on the kind of hair you have too. Me personally, I have very fine hair so a perm never last for more than 2 weeks before the curls fall out. I hope that helps.

Thanks for the info. I'd probably get it done professionally because my stylist is wonderful. Also, I have fine hair as well but my dad has really, really curly hair and so I got the genes that hold curl. My hair holds it really well. I think I'll check into it. I just wasn't sure if getting a wave perm was possible..

talk to your stylist, she'll know how well it will work with your hair!
