volunteer at your children's school?? PTA? school parties? etc.

Ethan's not school-aged yet, but I know I want to be one of those mothers. :)

Not much, unfortunately :( I am a teacher so we're on the same schedule. I do usually take one day off each year to do either his Christmas party or field trip. But actually, now that he's in 3rd grade, they don't seem to want the parents around anymore. Apparently we tend to get in the way, go figure :rofl

Not at the time being. Jaxon's school is only a prek and K. So, there isn't too terribly much to do since it's all pretty much half day school and they have a lot of teachers on staff. On top of that, I've got Shelby and Hunter which makes it a little difficult to coordinate things around. BUT, when they are a bit older, I would LOOOOVE to volunteer as much as possible. I want to be extremely involved :yes

dh & I both have ALWAYS volunteered at the kids school etc-I have been a Room Mom 2 yrs in a row & it all lead to an actual paid position at a school too. Its so important to be involved!

We volunteer for everything we can! I also am a big part of class parties and such!

I'm the "room mom" for both of the kids classes so I coordinate the parties, help the teacher when she needs things, sub in the class when the teacher is out for teacher luncheons/parties, etc. And I also volunteer with the PTO.

Nope lol I dont have any kids :giggle

I send things alot for Jer and his class mates just for a nice treat and I also help send things for his parties but he's just preschool.
I plan on being a VERY involved Mom. I want to know everything going on and have my hands in it! :D

Becuase I have so many kiddos ;) its tough at times for me to volunteer in person at school. But I do things like baking, party favors, etc. for school functions. sometimes its all I can do. Im looking for new ways to volunteer more often. its tough with a little one at home and dh going out to sea everytime we turn around :neutral But Im trying to be creative and come up with something :mrgreen
