View Full Version : What am I doing wrong?
AbbottsMomma 05-05-2008, 11:46 AM I've been trying to do the surveys that get posted on here but every single time I try, they tell me I have to take them up on three offers of magazines or credit cards or whatever.... do I really have to do that stuff? I don't want to order stuff just to take a survey!
In addition to that, now I'm getting 40-50 spam emails a day, plus phone calls every hour. Help!
Brandi 05-05-2008, 11:54 AM Which surveys have you tried? I am reposting them from another site I visit, so they aren't ones I have actually done or validated unless I say so on the post. The only ones I have really used are the ones in the legit online surveys post http://www.thewomanhood.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19449
American Consumer (listed on the link above) sends me a LOT. In fact, I rarely even have time for them all. Greenfield also sends quite a few, Survey Savvy also sends quite a few. Harris Poll and ECN also send a lot. The others are kind of sporadic, but I don't recall ever receiving spam emails from any of those companies listed.
AbbottsMomma 05-05-2008, 12:05 PM Hmm, I'm not sure.... I know the ones you just listed send me surveys all the time, but if I try them they're like "click here for your visa gift card" and the small print says "after choosing three platinum offers" or something to that effect....
I'm going to have to try them again, it just seems like a neverending labyrinth of clicking and I never get to the part where they say "congratulations, your checks in the mail!" lol
girlzstylin 05-16-2008, 04:35 PM Personally I have never found surveys to pay much without spending a ton of hours in front of the computer BUT there is one company I use for occassional surveys. You earn points and occassionally some turn into extra cash. I use lightspeed. I only get maybe $10 every couple months but I have qualified for further research projects that have paid. In fact one involved my son last year. They sent us a PDA where he tracked his snacks and drinks for 2 weeks. It paid $60. He got $20 and we used the other $40 to put in the bank for bills or groceries. We have had other similar items that involved our cell phone use, we even have been sent products to try and been paid. I have used them for 4 yrs now and its been fun. I don't have to sign up for anything extra to take the survey, spend out anything, I am not bombarded with spam. If I want to take a survey I can. I was idle for 3 months after buying my business and building it and was never an issue. I have done that a few times just simply because I was too busy. It definately won't make it possible to pay your mortgage but every little bit helps. Just a personal choice on my part but others have found them to be a great addition to what they do currently.
lady blu 05-16-2008, 07:12 PM i also use light speed surveys, & i too did the pda thing, & got payed, i also receive products from them, some are good some are not!! i got batteries, shampoo, this earwax cleaner product to try them out, i get to keep the product & maybe 10 dlls @ least every 3 mos, i dont have much time to do all of the surveys, also try mysurvey.com they have a pints system too that converts into points. i ipos i say, pays you with gift certificates to amazon or buy.com, buzz back is a lot of fun!! these are the ones that i've acutally been paid from in one way or the other,, & no spaming here.
Shannon 05-23-2008, 05:00 PM It took me like a year, but I finally earned $10 through MySurvey or something. :woot Yeah, not exactly a way to earn a living, but it'll buy me a couple of lattes (if I was aloud to drink them anymore).
I also do eRewards that I got into through Borders Rewards program. I do lots of surveys for lots of rewards, but you have to choose from a list. It isn't cash. Just coupons or free magazine subscriptions. The only money I did really get was Borders Bucks, but you only get $15 worth per year. :(
AbbottsMomma 05-23-2008, 06:04 PM Boo, none of this sounds like it's worth sifting through hundreds of emails.....
Now I'm totally on their email list and I can't get off, no matter how much unsubscribing I do.
Rainbow Brite 05-23-2008, 07:15 PM www.e-rewards.com has a cool point system, its how I get all of my magazine subscriptions. (for free)
Rainbow Brite 05-23-2008, 07:32 PM Also, for you ladies that fly a lot, www.e-miles.com has a great program where you can earn air miles for your airline!
