I always wanted to have my own kids and adopt 1. I have two boys 4 and 1. DF is really not yet convinced, but we plan to have 1 more child. I'm 21 so adoption is really not something I want to do yet. I still want to have another child withing the next 5 years or so. But I want to adopt a child to give them a a family and the luck to live a better life. But where can I get information I'm totally clueless

What I did when we started the process was I got online and researched my states foster care system. I just went to Google and typed in adoption in Texas and a ton of sites popped up...... then it was a matter of finding the right agency for our family, attending the orientation, getting the application, and then going through the training.

I went to two orientations before I found the right agency..... the first agency wouldn't work with us when it came to child care (we needed to bring our son with us, and they wouldn't allow it). The second agency said we could bring him, and also that we could take as long as we needed to get through the training, even if it meant attending training meetings here and there over a span of months and months! As long as each class was attended once, they were ok.

To find children in our area, we searched in the Texas Adoption Resource Exchange.... it's a photolisting of hundreds of children in Texas who are free for adoption.

So that's what I would suggest, get on Google and search your states foster care system, then start requesting information!!
