Which category does your school fit? What do you like about it? What don't you like? How did you decide between the two?

My college is public, it's a state community college. The main thing I like about it is that it is only $20 a unit. My big time gripe is that in the evening you do not have a good choice of teachers to select from since the majority of teachers teach in the day time. But I understand that since there are more students attending in the day time.

I also hate how the requirements for gaining entry into their nursing program have gotten ridiciulous to the point where you need to be a 4.0 student to get in since they are placing a priority on grades, as opposed to who is really qualified.

Mines public, over priced, and I absolutely hate it.. but it's both of my parent's alma mater so they insist I go here..

Most of my friend's who attend public college in Texas love it though however.. I think I just go to a crumby one.

Mine is public as well. It's a state school so the tuition isn't too bad. I like that it's a small community and classes are relatively small and you can get to know your instructors. I wish they offered a social work degree but since it's a small school the best alternative is Behavioral Science. I'm a commuting student and the 40 mile drive didn't used to be that bad but since gas went through the roof it's been a struggle.
