I went to a training session last night for a volunteer program I am doing with Morissa's school on Thursday. I carpooled with a couple mom's I have known since Morissa was in Kindergarten - the kids are in 5th grade now.

Anyway, we came to the realization that our kids are going to middle school next year and that there are less volunteer opportunities in our kids' classroom when they get up there... Our friendship has been centered around the elementary school activities. We all get along wonderfully - and decided that we were going to start doing a Mom's Night Out every other month. Dinner out, with No kids, no husbands, no stress. Just Moms getting out to relax with other moms.

I'm looking forward to building better friendships with these moms on my own now, without the focus being on the school and kids....

Oh what I wouldn't give for a MOMS NIGHT OUT, come to think of it, I've never had a MOMS NIGHT OUT, all my girlfriends are childless and well, they can't relate to stories of potty training :)
