I know there's not that many of you New England ladies on here. But I figured I'd ask anyway, just in case!

Joe and I are going home for two weeks at the end of May/ beginning of June, and we'd like to take a short trip up to the white mountains to go hiking, and stay in a nice either B&B, cabin, or something else just as romantic... not very picky.

So, I was wondering if you ladies could help out with the itinerary. I haven't been hiking much, and only hiked Mount Major and the Tuckerman Ravine, but I was thinking it'd be fun to try something new... although, both those places are fine as well, especially if they have some sort of nice hotel nearby.

Maybe if you have some ideas of some other fun things to do up there during the summer? Such as fishing, boating, beaches on Lake Winnepesake, etc? I feel so clueless! Neither of us are high maintenance, btw, in case that changes things.

What about going along the Kancamagus Highway and see a bunch of the sites along there? There's the Rocky Gorge, with a gorgeous waterfall and bridge.

Or go over to The Flume at Franconia Notch. I remember doing that as a kid. I think there is hiking up there as well.

Have you hiked Mt. Washington yet?
