We got approved to buy a house!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woot
I honestly thought we would never be able to afford a house the way the prices are here in San Diego.
It all happened super fast because I had a little newsletter send from a friend of mine who is a mortgage lender and she said something to the effect of "now is the time for you guys to buy your first home". Honestly, i just put it aside for a bout 3 weeks until I realize just how LOW the houses were in price right now.
There are sooo many houses in forclosure and so many houses fore sale right now and they just arent selling. Now is the time for us.
We got approved for 400K, but we can only actually afford about 225K. But there are TONS of houses avalable around that price right now.
I am so excited!! I cant wait to start looking. Me and DH are going to drive by a bunch of them in the area today to see how the neighborhoods are and everything before we ask to see the insides.
I found this one house that i want to badly! Its been on the market for several months and it was a house that someone completely remodeled but didnt finish so it still needs all the carpeting and appliances, toilets, etc. I think we can do it, but I would need to talk to a contractor or something to see JUST how much it costs to do all of that (the kitchen still has to have everything installed including cupboards and counters, etc.) It is just under 2,000 sq ft, 2 story, 5 bedroom, 3 bath, HUGE pool, nice neighborhood. new roof, paint, remodeled rooms, fireplace, and HUGE living room area. I want it so bad. :lol but I am getting ahead of myself here.
Anyway, sorry for all the rambling but I am so excited. This has been going on for about a week but I didnt want to say anything until we were sure we could start looking and do this! :clap :yahoo :cp
So far there are two houses I am in love with but I am trying not to get my hopes up. I think it is too late for that though :lol
