View Full Version : Kids and attitude... Ellen 05-17-2008, 10:01 AM Does your child get an attitude? Do they roll their eyes? What do you do? Mareleigh 05-17-2008, 10:01 AM OMG my son is three and he gets and attitude! Brandi 05-17-2008, 10:33 AM Yeah, they all have attitudes. It's part of being a kid though and part of being a human, IMO. They are pretty good about keeping it in check, they know not to back talk and are normally very respectful. The eye rolling thing doesn't happen but they aren't quite old enough really to understand the whole eye roll thing and how offensive it can be. They're good kids, but I do anticipate preteen and teen years being quite an adventure, especially with Jaxon. Berkley 05-17-2008, 03:25 PM Yeah, they all have attitudes. Same here dragonflys 05-18-2008, 05:58 PM oh yeah mine have there attuides to but they know when to stop! they can share there opoin but they know when mom and dad has last word. our kids are great kids to but they all have their bad days. u have tobe ready for it and draw the line some were. all of they have there own punishments bc their are all differant in there own way Austin gets grounded heis seven Micheal gets his time outs he is five and ivy also get her time outs she 2. Trish 05-23-2008, 01:53 AM My kids don't roll their eyes at me, as far as I can see anyway. Sometimes it seems like a little attitude comes into their voices. I give them this look every time (it's automatic I think because it surprises me and I know they need to fix it) and ask them to repeat that. They usually change the way they're talking. Sometimes my son will act as if he's innocent and say, "I just said...", but of course that isn't in the same voice. I don't do much, really because it doesn't happen often and stops after I let them know to check the way they're talking to me. If it gets bad, they'll be punished, but it hasn't happened yet. |
