How do you feel about security measures at the airports these days?
Back in 2001 they imposed all of these new guidelines, but as time has passed, you saw a lot of those crazy rules going away.
While they still say you can't have over 3oz of toothpaste and it must be in a quart sized plastic bag - do you do it still? I sure as heck don't. I've had full-sized stuff in my carry-on before, no quart sized bag and they didn't say a thing. Actually, that's how it always is. I mean, the only people I see whipping out their quart-sized bags are old ladies and first-time flyers now.
And what about the actual security check? It doesn't seem any more thorough than before. I still take off my shoes and belt, but like, I waltz through fine. Not that I'm carrying anything bad that would set it off anyway...but nothing seems to have changed in my opinion. Or rather, it seems to have gone back to the old way of things - outside of the shoe/belt removal.
I dunno. What have your experiences been lately?
