I always try to save money at the grocery stores (like a lot of you ladies do as well). It’s amazing that with just my husband and I, in the past I could easily spend $300 on food every three weeks for only two people! One of the reasons I feel I overspent, was that I wouldn’t make a grocery list and would end up buying items that we already had. I also wouldn’t plan out our meals, or keep certain items always at hand.

Another thing, is that since I make my own spaghetti sauce (so yummy), and I make it 12quarts at a time, there is always plenty of sauce for all sorts of recipes, from baked ziti and lasagna, to manicotti, to pasta, raviolis, etc. so that will last us quite awhile.

I’ve been trying lately to not buy anything not on my grocery list and to only go into Costco when I have a list and actually need to buy items that are what I actually need, and not make last minute “oooh, I need that” purchases.

Yesterday I spent just $150 total between Safeway & Costco!!!!!!!!!! That’s a feat all in itself, since I usually always spend at least $80 at Costco, and spent just $44, and always spend over $150 at Safeway and spent just $111.44

In addition, I got two free movie tickets at Safeway, since I bought $40 worth of qualifying items, yay! So we’ll see Indiana Jones this weekend for free.

good deal! I like Costco's spinach and cheese ravioli and the seafood ravioli. The cookies are good too.

Those spinach and mozzarella raviolis are one of our favorites too! And I love that they don't need any sauce on them, just to be tossed in olive oil and maybe sprinkled with some parmesean cheese, they are soo good!
